WAX MELTS – HOW TO USE WAX MELTS & BURNERS
Wax melts are shaped pieces of scented wax. The wax is filled with fragrance, so once melted the aroma will fill the home for you to enjoy. Wax melts are very easy to use, and are very clean. Simply place your melt in to your burner/warmer, with an unscented tea light underneath. DO NOT ADD WATER & DO NOT OVERFILL YOUR BURNER, you do not need to use all 4 cubes at once.
A wax melt will NOT evaporate, it is the fragrance that burns off, so once you can no longer smell the fragrance it is time for a change! A wax melt can be used several times before needing to be changed, this will vary from scent to scent and can be anything from 6 to 12 hours. When you can no longer smell it, simply remove & add a new melt.
The best way to remove a wax melt, is to heat the wax melt for 1 or 2 minutes and it should just slid off the dish for you to dispose, having kitchen paper to hand can help with this. Alternatively, once the wax is melted you could just add cotton wool balls to the melted wax, which will soak up the wax for you to dispose off.
